Advanced Pre-K Classes
If your child is moving on to kindergarten next year, now is the time to enroll them in our pre-K program at The Schoolhouse Daycare. Our advanced pre-K program caters to children from 4 to 5 years old.
Getting Your Child Ready for Kindergarten
Preparing your child for kindergarten can be a stressful time. You may find yourself reflecting upon what they know and wondering if you've taught them enough to get them ready for the next step in their education.
Thanks to the educators at The Schoolhouse Daycare, you don't have to worry! Our pre-K classes will help your child to develop his / her fine motor skills and learn to recognize his / her name, address, phone numbers, letters and numbers. Preparing for kindergarten shouldn't be stressful!
A Comprehensive Pre-K Curriculum
Our pre-K curriculum follows many of the same themes as our preschool program. However, your child will be challenged just a bit more. Our lessons include:
- Art projects with cutting, pasting, folding, painting and coloring
- Cool-cooking
- Free-play time to encourage socialization
- Outdoor playtime
Breakfast and Lunch Provided
As with all of our daycare programs, your child will receive breakfast, lunch and one snack. All meals are made according to USDA guidelines.
Before- and after-school care programs
are available for older children and we offer field trips and summer camp programs
