Educational Programs for Toddlers

As your child grows into a toddler, it is important that they are challenged academically and socially. At The Schoolhouse Daycare, we stick to a structured schedule of learning and playing so that your child can grow in a positive direction each and every day they're with us!

Encouraging Your Child's Creative Learning Habits

During your toddler's day with us, we'll incorporate activities that develop their hand-eye coordination, finger dexterity and motor skills. The toddler classroom is for children within 14 months to 3 years old. Our curriculum includes:

Art projects with non-toxic finger paint or Play-Doh
Beginner's alphabet
Counting
Finger-plays
Gross motor activities
Music
Nursery rhymes
Storytime

We are members of the Keystone STARS program. This means we're dedicated to increasing social, emotional, developmental and learning skills, as well as improving your child's readiness for school.

Activity Time and Rest Time

Your toddler will love our climbing gym, where they can use their muscles to explore. This area includes blocks, a sensory table, puzzles and other toys.

Rest time is just as important as physical activity. That's why we incorporate nap time into your toddler's day between 1-3 pm. We provide cots for the children to nap in and you'll be given a daily log of your toddler's explorations and activities throughout the day.

Tasty, Nutritious Meals

Your toddler will be provided with delicious and nutritious meals during their time with us. All meals are prepared according to USDA guidelines. We encourage your child to use our disposable utensils and dishes properly to feed themselves.
